Hill House-

Unique Holiday Hideaway - For 4

I worked closely with the client and wider design team from the very beginning, to help create the perfect guest experience. The space is designed to allow guests to slow down in a calming environment, whilst being immersed in nature.

The interior design colour palette conveys a rooted sense of place by subtly reflecting the earthy rusts, tans and stone of the surrounding landscape. This tonal palette paired with the oak timber window cladding succeeds in creating a seamless connection between the interior and exterior. The vaulted ceilings have been painted in a warm, chalky grey reflecting the natural light which floods in through the expansive windows. As day moves into night, the pendant lighting becomes a focal feature. Nowhere is this more evident than in the corner elevation where a delicate smoked glass feature pendant reflects the natural light and creates a warm glow reminiscent of burnt embers.

The carefully considered palette of timber, wool, marble and travertine fosters a deep connection between the guests and the ever-changing elements around them. This use of honest materials draws the wild exterior through the large glass façade to immerse guests in the elemental beauty of the natural landscape, creating a deeply restorative experience.
