The Tenth-

The Tenth Cafe & Bar provides hospitality space for an existing 9 hole golf course, driving range and adventure golf course. We opted to use shipping containers as they are environmentally friendly, side-step planning constraints and keep costs low. We worked closely with Adaptainer in Suffolk, Ipswich to create a bespoke solution that was attractive and functional.

The name “The Tenth” was suggested to the client which they loved.

Our idea was that the social space was a natural continuation of the course. We expressed this in the design by seeking to minimise the distinction between the course and the cafe. This was achieved by installing a large viewing platform and cutting spacious windows into the containers. We also painted the containers green, thus creating a sense of continuity and integration with the course.
